CLOUDLESS · PRE-LAUNCH

Your collection. On your phone. Period.

A tasting notebook for collectors — wine, whiskey, coffee, cigars — that lives entirely on your device. No account. No cloud sync of your cellar. Your bottle list never becomes someone's ad audience.

⟷ SHARE ENCRYPTED NOTE

“Free” tasting apps charge in a currency you didn't agree to.

Most collection apps begin with an account and a hosted list. Spreadsheets avoid that trade, but become awkward to search and maintain. Fine Notes is a structured, searchable tasting notebook whose collection data stays on the device by default.

01

The cloud account you did not want

Many collection apps require an account and remote storage before you can log a bottle. That is the wrong default for a private collection.

02

The spreadsheet that doesn't scale

Excel cellar trackers stop working at bottle 40, hate photo attachments, and can't tell you what to drink tonight from the case in the garage.

03

The price paid vs. now

Market values move, but a spreadsheet rarely stays current. Fine Notes keeps your price paid and your own current-value estimate beside the item without publishing your collection.

04

The recommendation

Your buddy texts "what was that bourbon you loved?" — you scroll for ten minutes through photos trying to find it. And you don't want to join a social feed to send him the note.

Three pillars. One subscription. Four verticals.

Fine Notes runs on a single encrypted on-device store. You pick which vertical you collect on first launch — wine, whiskey, coffee, cigars, or any combination — and the right fields appear by default. Everything you log stays on your phone unless you explicitly share it.

01 · CELLAR

Inventory the things you collect.

Every bottle, bag, tin, or box — named, categorized, placed in a location, dated, valued, and counted. The current MVP favors dependable manual entry over an unproven camera or cloud lookup.

  • Location, quantity, purchase date, source, and price paid
  • Vintage / age / roast / origin per vertical
  • Search and filter by anything
  • Bag, case, drawer, or humidor grouping
02 · TASTING LOG

Structured notes you can find again.

Real tasting fields — nose, palate, finish (or aroma, body, acidity, aftertaste for coffee) — plus a 100-point rating, a meal-pairing log, and a chronological history. Search every word you've ever written.

  • Nose / palate / finish, or vertical-specific structure
  • 100-point rating with sliding scale
  • Meal-pairing log: what you ate, whether it worked
  • Full-text search across your entire history
03 · MANUAL VALUE

Track your own estimate without publishing the collection.

Record what you paid and maintain a current-value estimate yourself. The current MVP performs no public-price lookup and sends no item query to a valuation service.

  • Price paid and current-value fields
  • Values remain inside the encrypted vault
  • Search by name, notes, category, or location
  • No appraisal or investment recommendation
✦ ✦ ✦

Share a tasting note without joining a social network.

Serious collectors specifically don't want a public feed, a follower graph, or a recommendation algorithm running over their drinking history. Fine Notes has none of those — and it still lets you hand a friend a tasting note like you'd hand them the bottle.

Tap Share Note on any entry. Fine Notes writes that single note to a passphrase-encrypted file and opens your device's share sheet. Your friend imports the file and enters the passphrase. They never receive the rest of your collection. There is no relay server, Fine Notes account, or friend graph.

  1. Tap Share Note on a single tasting entry — never your whole cellar.
  2. Fine Notes generates an AES-256-GCM encrypted package protected by the passphrase you choose.
  3. Choose any destination in the operating-system share sheet, then send the passphrase through a different channel.
  4. Recipient taps the file, Fine Notes decrypts, the note lands in their log tagged “From: Wolfe.”
  5. No friend graph. No follower list. No Fine Notes transfer server.

The same engine, four sets of fields.

On first launch, Fine Notes asks which vertical(s) you collect. The default detail card reshapes to match — wine fields look like wine fields, not like a generalist's attempt at a bottle form. Switch verticals any time. One subscription covers all four.

Wine — a cellar that lives on your phone.

For the collector with 40+ bottles, a varied case strategy, and a notebook of drink windows. Keep the details and notes together, then search “what GSM under $40 did I love?” and actually get an answer.

Whiskey — pour log, batch detail, mash bill.

Bourbon, rye, scotch, world whisky — the fields that actually matter to a collector. Track which bottle is open, the proof, the cask type, and the batch number. A per-bottle pour log helps you remember exactly when you opened the Stagg.

Three properties Fine Notes will never sell out.

Every product decision answers to these three. If a feature would compromise any of them, we ship the feature differently — or we don't ship it.

PROPERTY 01

No account, ever.

There is no signup, no email login, no password recovery, no “verify your phone.” Open Fine Notes and it works. The app cannot sell what it never collected.

PROPERTY 02

No collection cloud.

Your collection, tasting notes, ratings, and history live in an AES-256-GCM encrypted local vault. Fine Notes has no server copy and cannot recover it for you.

PROPERTY 03

Sharing is explicit and narrow.

Only the note you select is placed in a passphrase-encrypted export file. You choose the share destination and should send the passphrase separately. There is no Fine Notes relay or friend graph.

$1.99 a month. Or $19 a year.

The planned price is one subscription for all four verticals and unlimited items. Final pricing, trial eligibility, cancellation, and refunds are shown by the app store.

CANCEL ANYTIME
  • Full cellar inventory across four verticals
  • Tasting log with structured fields & pairings
  • Manual price-paid and current-value tracking
  • Passphrase-encrypted single-note sharing
  • Encrypted local vault with app lock
  • Planned introductory trial where the store offers it
Why paid? The planned $19 annual price funds the app without ads, collection profiling, or a MAJESTIC-hosted collection database. Store pricing and any introductory trial will be confirmed on the purchase screen before release.

Built by a military family. Same hands building Paws, Brassmark, Tender Days.

MAJESTIC MADE is an Alabama-based studio building a suite of cloudless apps for the data that consumer products routinely upload. Fine Notes is the eighth product in that suite — same engine, same thesis, applied to the collection sitting on your shelf.

FOUNDER

Active-duty software dev

Separating February 2027 to build MAJESTIC MADE full-time. Fine Notes is being built in the same disciplined cadence as the rest of the suite — validate, ship, listen, iterate.

SUITE

Cloudless by default

Sibling products: Lockbox (family vault), Tally (budget), What We Own (home inventory), Paws (pet records), Brassmark (firearm registry), Tender Days (baby tracker), Pantry Clock (pantry).

PRICING

One simple plan

The planned launch offer unlocks every supported vertical without per-item or per-vertical tiers. Final pricing and availability are confirmed by the app store.

What collectors keep asking before they sign up.

Does my collection list actually stay on my phone?
Yes. Fine Notes has no account, collection server, ads, or analytics. Your collection and tasting history live in an AES-256-GCM encrypted local vault. The only current network integration is RevenueCat and the app store for purchase status. A note leaves only when you explicitly export it.
How does valuation work?
You enter the price paid and, if useful, your own current-value estimate. The current MVP does not contact auction, retail, or appraisal services. Values are organizational notes, not appraisals or investment advice.
How does encrypted note sharing work?
Choose one tasting note, create a passphrase, and Fine Notes writes only that note to an AES-256-GCM encrypted file. You choose a destination in the operating-system share sheet. The recipient imports the file and enters the passphrase; send that passphrase through a separate channel. Fine Notes has no relay server or friend graph.
Can Fine Notes import another app's history?
Not in the current MVP. Source-specific CSV and JSON importers remain roadmap work. Fine Notes supports dependable manual inventory and tasting entry today, and the website will not advertise import compatibility until fixtures from each source have passed release tests.
Do I get all four verticals on one subscription?
That is the planned launch offer: one subscription for wine, whiskey, coffee, and cigars, with no per-item or per-vertical tier. Final pricing, availability, and trial eligibility are confirmed by the app store.
What if I lose my phone?
Fine Notes has no server copy and cannot recover your vault. Operating-system device backups may include app data depending on your settings, but Fine Notes does not guarantee that recovery path. A full-vault backup and restore flow is required before public release.
Will Fine Notes add a social feed, follower system, or public ratings?
No. There is no social feed, no follower system, no public rating, no leaderboard, no comments. The only sharing primitive is the explicit one-to-one peer note transfer. The product is designed for collectors who specifically do not want a social network around their collection — that is the entire reason Fine Notes exists instead of being a Vivino feature.
Who builds Fine Notes?
MAJESTIC MADE LLC — an Alabama-based military-family software company. The founder is an active-duty military software developer separating in February 2027 to build MAJESTIC MADE full-time. Other MAJESTIC products: Lockbox, Tally, What We Own, Paws, Brassmark, Tender Days, Pantry Clock — all on the same cloudless thesis.
