CONCEPT ONLY · TARGET CLOUDLESS DESIGN

Your logbook. On your phone. Period.

Divefolio proposes an on-device log for every dive, GPS site, and buddy, plus a planned agency-shaped PDF export. Encryption, redaction defaults, and export acceptance are target behaviors that still require implementation and validation.

The logbook market sells your dive sites for ad money.

Cloud-stored logbooks routinely surface “discover dive sites near you” — the user-hostile mechanic that turns your hard-won GPS pin into a charter map for the next boat. That's the whole reason Divefolio exists.

01

The cloud logbook

Their privacy policy reserves the right to share with "service providers." Your GPS pin of an unnamed wreck is now a row in their analytics warehouse.

02

"Dive sites near you"

The market feature most owners specifically don't want. Your hard-won pins become a public surface so the next user surfaces them too.

03

The paper logbook

Soaked at the dive shop, lost in a checked bag, signed by an instructor whose handwriting nobody can read. The cert agency wants it digital anyway.

04

The desktop holdouts

Subsurface is great if you live at a Mac. Mobile-first divers and instructors need the log on the boat ride home, not at home that night.

One app. Four jobs. Zero data leaving your phone without your tap.

Divefolio is structured around the four things divers actually do with a logbook: log the dive, protect the site, hand a signed sheet to the agency, and (V1.1) pull the depth profile straight off the computer.

01 · DIVE LOG

Every dive. Every cert-ready field.

Date, site, depth profile, bottom time, buddy, gas, conditions, gear. Quick path for the surface interval, full path for the dive you want to remember. Search every word you have ever written.

  • PADI / SSI / NAUI field map
  • Tech-diver gas + deco fields
  • Manual or imported depth profile
  • Photos attached, encrypted
02 · SITE VAULT

Your reef. Your wreck. Your secret.

Site name, GPS, type, difficulty, photos — encrypted local storage. The pins you logged are never transmitted. Export redacts to 0.1° by default; include precise coordinates only when you choose to.

  • Encrypted GPS coordinates
  • Per-site stats + buddies
  • Default-redact on every export
  • No cloud surfacing, ever
03 · PDF EXPORT

A proposed signed dive sheet shaped for agency review.

On-device PDF generation in PADI / SSI / NAUI shape. Signature block, per-dive page or roll-up, GPS-redact toggle. AirDrop to the boat captain, email to the instructor, print at the dive shop. No cloud copy is retained.

  • PADI / SSI / NAUI layouts
  • Instructor signature block
  • GPS + buddy contact toggles
  • AirDrop · Mail · Files · Print

04 · BT IMPORT

Dive computer talks to phone. No server.

Bluetooth import from selected dive computers is a research idea, subject to protocol licensing, device compatibility, and testing. It has no committed version or timing.

  • Suunto · Shearwater · Garmin Descent
  • react-native-ble-plx, on-device
  • No vendor account required
  • Manual entry always works

Three views of the same dive.

Tap a pillar to explore a non-functional mockup. Fields, storage, and export behavior are proposed and may change after implementation testing.

Every dive. Every field your next certification will ask for.

The whole log fits on one screen — site, depth, time, buddy, gas, conditions, gear, notes. Quick-entry path for the boat ride home, full-detail path for the dive you want to remember.

When you upgrade to a dive computer that talks Bluetooth, Divefolio will pull the depth profile straight off the wrist. Until then, the profile is yours to sketch in 30 seconds. The log is the same either way.

  • Date / time-in / time-out
  • Site (pinned or one-off)
  • Max depth + avg depth
  • Bottom time + SI
  • Buddy + buddy cert
  • Gas (air / EAN / trimix)
  • Conditions (viz / temp / current)
  • Gear (BCD / reg / wetsuit)
  • Profile (manual or imported)
  • Free-text notes + photos

The coordinates you found are yours to keep.

A logged GPS pin of a great wreck or reef is worth money — to charter ops, to fishing boats, to the next algorithm to surface it as a “dive site near you.” Divefolio's site vault stores your pins in encrypted local storage and never transmits them. Period.

When you AirDrop or print a logbook PDF, you choose whether to include GPS, redact it to nearest mile, or omit it entirely. The default is redact. The exporter never forgets.

  • GPS coordinates (precise)
  • Site name + alias
  • Type (reef / wreck / wall / cavern)
  • Difficulty + recommended cert
  • Max known depth
  • Best current / tide window
  • Photos (encrypted, on-device)
  • Buddies who've been with you
  • Total dives logged here
  • Private — never uploaded

Proposed signed dive sheet for agency review.

Cert progression still wants physical-style signed pages. Divefolio lays out your dives in the PADI / SSI / NAUI shape an instructor expects: one dive per page or roll-up, signature block, depth profile, conditions. AirDrop it to the boat captain's iPad, email it to your instructor, print at the dive shop.

The PDF generator runs entirely on-device with expo-print. No upload, no “please connect to our cloud to verify your log.” The dive you logged is the dive the PDF shows.

  • PADI-shaped signed dive sheet
  • SSI dive log layout
  • NAUI training-aligned format
  • Instructor signature block
  • Per-dive page or roll-up
  • Date-range filter (last cert prep)
  • Site GPS optional (redact for share)
  • Buddy contact optional (redact)
  • AirDrop, Mail, Files, Print
  • No cloud copy retained

Your dive sites are valuable. The concept is designed around that.

Local encryption and default export redaction are design requirements, not current technical guarantees. They require implementation, threat modeling, and verification.

01

TARGET: NO BACKEND

The proposal uses encrypted local storage with no Divefolio account or record server. This is not implemented or security-tested.

02

TARGET: GPS REDACTION

The planned exporter redacts coordinates by default and includes precise pins only on explicit request. The redaction behavior still requires implementation and testing.

03

TARGET: NO ANALYTICS

The concept excludes analytics and crash-reporting SDKs. Any future binary must be verified before release.

A $2.99 monthly or $24 annual model is being considered.

These are planning targets, not offers. Features, store pricing, trial eligibility, cancellation, refunds, and availability are not final.

MONTHLY
$2.99/mo
PROPOSED TIER
  • Unlimited dives + sites
  • PADI / SSI / NAUI PDF export
  • GPS redact toggle
  • Optional iCloud KVS backup
  • Bluetooth import (V1.1)
  • Possible introductory trial, subject to store terms
Competitor prices, privacy practices, and feature comparisons change. Any launch-page comparison will be revalidated against current public terms before release.

Built by a military family. Same cloudless thesis as Paws, Brassmark, Tender Days, Fine Notes.

MAJESTIC MADE is an Alabama-based studio building a suite of cloudless apps for the data consumer products routinely upload. Divefolio is the ninth product in that suite — same engine, same thesis, applied to a logbook category whose owners already pay for privacy elsewhere.

TARGET CLOUDLESS ARCHITECTURE

Minimize the breach surface.

The proposal avoids a MAJESTIC-hosted dive-record backend. That architecture must be implemented and verified before it becomes a product claim.

DESIGNED BY A DIVER

Each proposed field has a reason.

Redaction, buddy controls, and signature blocks are design ideas shaped by real dive-log workflows.

STORE TERMS

No purchase promise yet.

No refund, trial, price, or cancellation promise exists today. Any future terms will be presented by the app store at checkout.

The questions privacy-minded divers ask first.

Answers describe intended behavior and remain subject to implementation, agency review, platform testing, and any future app-store review.

Would my dive data leave my phone?
The target design uses encrypted local storage with no account, record server, cloud sync, or analytics. Explicit export would be the intended exception. Those data flows still require implementation and security review.
Could I export a PADI / SSI / NAUI-style signed dive sheet?
That is the goal. The proposed PDF includes familiar agency fields and a signature block, but no agency has reviewed or approved it and acceptance is not guaranteed.
What would happen to GPS coordinates on export?
The proposal defaults to approximate coordinates and allows precise coordinates only on explicit request. The exact redaction level and controls require implementation and testing.
Would Divefolio talk to my dive computer?
Bluetooth import for selected computers is a research item, subject to protocol licensing, device compatibility, and testing. It has no committed version or release timing.
What if I lose my phone?
Backup and recovery behavior is unresolved. Platform backup and an encrypted user-managed export may be explored, but recovery will not be promised until fully tested.
How might Divefolio be priced?
$2.99 monthly and $24 annual are planning targets, not offers. Trial eligibility, cancellation, refunds, features, and availability would be finalized and shown by the app store if Divefolio ships.
Would Divefolio add a social feed or dive-site discovery?
The concept deliberately excludes a social feed, public ratings, and location discovery. That remains a product requirement for any future implementation.
Who builds Divefolio?
MAJESTIC MADE LLC — an Alabama-based military-family software company. The founder is an active-duty military software developer separating in February 2027 to build MAJESTIC MADE full-time. Other MAJESTIC products: Lockbox, Tally, What We Own, Paws, Brassmark, Tender Days, Pantry Clock, Fine Notes — all on the same cloudless thesis.
