CONCEPT ONLY · TARGET CLOUDLESS DESIGN

Your registry. On your phone. Period.

Brassmark proposes private records for serial numbers, optic zeros, range visits, ammo by lot, training certificates, and a CCW permit. On-device encryption, Face ID gating, and no outside lookups are design targets, not implemented guarantees.

Your records live in four places. None of them belong on someone else's server.

A safe-side notebook with smudged serial numbers. A spreadsheet you stopped updating in 2022. A cloud “gun-tracker” app whose privacy policy reserves the right to share with “service providers.” Your CCW card in a wallet that's been to four bases. None of these are what you actually want.

01

The notebook

Half the serials are smudged. The optic zero notes are on a Post-it. You can't read your own handwriting from 2022.

02

The dead spreadsheet

Last updated when you bought the Glock. The AR isn't in it. The new optic isn't in it. The maintenance log was always aspirational.

03

The cloud app

Their database has a record of every firearm you own, by serial. Read their privacy policy. Decide if you trust the breach notification.

04

The CCW in your wallet

Expires in eight months. You don't remember when. If the card is lost on a road trip, the replacement process starts with finding a photocopy you don't have.

One app. Three things you actually need. Zero data leaving your phone.

Brassmark is built around the three records most owners juggle and never consolidate: the inventory itself, the range log that proves it gets used, and the permit that lets you carry it. Same on-device storage, three views.

01 · INVENTORY

Every firearm, every detail.

Make, model, serial, caliber, purchase date and source. Every modification: suppressor, optic, trigger, barrel. Optic zero log with load, distance, and DOPE. Maintenance history.

  • Per-firearm photo + notes
  • Modification log with dates
  • Optic zero history
  • Round count tracker
02 · RANGE LOG

Every visit. Every drill. Every cert.

Date, location, which firearms, which ammo by lot, rounds fired, drills run, training course completions. Brassmark-day data that feeds maintenance reminders automatically.

  • Ammo inventory by lot
  • Drill notes per visit
  • Training course log (CCW, NRA, hunter safety)
  • Auto-reminder when round count hits service interval
03 · LICENSE VAULT

Your CCW card. Behind Face ID.

Photo of your concealed-carry or LTC card with issuing state, permit number, issue and expiration dates, restrictions, and your own reciprocity notes. Local reminder before it expires. Same vault holds hunting licenses and NFA tax stamps.

  • CCW / LTC photo + metadata
  • Hunting license + reciprocity notes
  • NFA tax-stamp PDF storage
  • Local expiration reminders (no push server)

Three views of the same registry.

Tap a pillar to see the fields. Everything you see — every word, every number — was typed in by you and lives on your device. Brassmark never looks up your serial against any database.

The record you wish your old spreadsheet was.

One firearm per record. Every field that matters when you can't physically hold the gun — buying a holster online, talking to a gunsmith, filing an insurance claim after a break-in. Zero fields that don't matter.

  • Make & model
  • Serial number
  • Caliber
  • Purchase date / source
  • Modifications
  • Optic + zero log
  • Round count
  • Maintenance history
  • Photos (encrypted)
  • Free-text notes

The log that actually rewards you for going.

Date, range, which firearm, which ammo, rounds fired, drill, training. Round counts feed maintenance — when the G19 crosses 3,000 rounds, Brassmark reminds you about the recoil spring. Quietly. On the device.

  • Visit date + range
  • Firearms taken
  • Ammo by lot
  • Round count per gun
  • Drills run
  • Training course
  • Free notes
  • Photos (encrypted)
  • Auto-maintenance flags
  • Lifetime stats

The card you don't want to lose. Where it can't be lost.

Photo of your CCW or LTC card stored as an encrypted blob with the key in the iOS Keychain, never readable without Face ID. Renewal reminder is a local notification — no push server, no analytics ping. Hunting licenses and NFA tax stamps live in the same vault.

  • Card photo (encrypted)
  • Issuing state
  • Permit number
  • Issue date
  • Expiration date
  • Restrictions
  • Reciprocity notes
  • Hunting licenses
  • NFA tax-stamp PDFs
  • Local renewal reminders

A proposed registry without a MAJESTIC-hosted record server.

Cloudless is the target, not a claim about a current binary. Encryption, network behavior, backups, and export paths require implementation and security testing.

01 · STORAGE

TARGET: ENCRYPTED LOCAL SQLITE

The planned design stores records and photos in encrypted app-private storage, with keys gated by platform secure storage and device authentication. This has not been implemented or security-tested.

02 · NETWORK

TARGET: MINIMAL NETWORK USE

The plan excludes analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and server-side record storage. Any store receipt validation and export behavior will be documented after implementation testing.

03 · LOOKUPS

TARGET: NO EXTERNAL DATABASES

The proposal excludes serial-number decoding and external firearm-registry lookups. That is a design requirement, not a claim about a current binary.

One possible plan. Unlimited records if the product ships.

$4.99 monthly and $39 annual are planning targets, not offers. Store pricing, trial eligibility, cancellation, refunds, and availability are not final.

MONTHLY
$4.99/ month
  • Unlimited firearms
  • Unlimited range visits
  • License vault (CCW / LTC / hunting)
  • Face ID required on launch
  • Cancel anytime

The proposed plan includes the license vault. Final tiers and access rules depend on implementation and store configuration.

The honest answers we'd want before signing up.

Is Brassmark on the consumer App Store?
No. Brassmark is a concept and has not been submitted to or approved by Apple. Any future implementation would need to satisfy the review rules in force at submission; comparable approved apps do not guarantee Brassmark approval.
Would my data leave my phone?
The target design uses encrypted local storage with no account, cloud sync, analytics, or normal-use outbound record traffic. That behavior must be implemented, threat-modeled, and verified before release.
What would happen if I lose my phone?
Backup and recovery behavior is unresolved. Device backup may be considered, but Brassmark will not promise successful recovery until a complete flow is implemented and tested.
Why is device authentication proposed?
The records may include permit details and serial numbers. The current proposal gates access with Face ID or the device passcode; exact behavior requires usability and security testing.
Would Brassmark decode or look up my serial number?
The target design excludes external serial-number lookups and manufacturer-database integrations. This remains a requirement for any future implementation.
How would CCW / LTC storage work?
The proposal stores card images as encrypted app-private files with metadata in encrypted local storage and local expiration reminders. The encryption and notification design has not been implemented or validated.
Would Brassmark sync between two phones?
Not in the proposed first version. Encrypted peer-to-peer handoff is only a research idea and has no committed version or timing.
Is the price really $4.99 per month?
That is a planning target, not an offer. Features, pricing, trial eligibility, cancellation, refunds, and availability would be finalized and shown by the app store if Brassmark ships.
Who's behind this?
MAJESTIC MADE LLC — an Alabama-based military-family software shop building the cloudless app suite (Lockbox, Tally, What We Own, Paws, Brassmark). The founder is an active-duty military software developer.

The principles the concept is targeting.

01 · BUILDER

BUILT BY AN ACTIVE-DUTY MILITARY DEV

The proposed privacy posture reflects the standard the builder wants for a sensitive personal registry.

02 · ARCHITECTURE

TARGET: NO ACCOUNT · NO CLOUD · NO SDK

The concept excludes logins, server-side record storage, analytics, and crash-reporting SDKs. The shipped architecture, if any, must be independently verified.

03 · COMMERCE

STORE TERMS ARE FINAL

No refund, trial, price, or cancellation promise exists today. Any future purchase terms will be presented by the app store at checkout.

Follow the concept.
